Description
The Ford Mustang Shelby® GT500® from the Lego Technic series is a classic pull-back model. The model itself is very well made and you can see at a glance what it is supposed to represent. As with almost all of these models, the main function is limited to the pull-back motor function. However, this model also features a virtual race track on the ground using the AR Technic app on a cell phone or tablet. The pull-back motor is pre-tensioned and a mechanism prevents the car from driving away immediately after being released. If you now scan the car into the virtual race track in the AR app and trigger the holding mechanism, e.g. with your foot, the app calculates the race time and displays it. This function enhances the fun of the game somewhat, but you need a compatible smartphone or tablet to use it.
